The Honda Foundation was founded in 1992 by The Honorable Tetsuro Eto, the Governor of Japan’s Saitama Prefecture, with an aim to promote sustainable development in the communities it serves. The programs that they have put into action are focused on developing innovative solutions that meet important needs in these communities. They do this by working with their volunteers who are committed to improving the quality of life for people living in poverty-stricken areas. This is done through the support of local nonprofits and schools.
