I’ll be down in Florida this weekend for MegaCon. I’m traveling light, but I’ll be doing sketches, and I’ll have some Atomic Robo and Punisher War Journal pages to sell. Brian ordered those awesome Robo shirts. Looking forward to seeing some of you guys there. We’ll be at table BLUE 8 in the Independent area.

Redefining Savagery

Tuesday, November 20th, 2007

Okay, it’s official. I’m doing a few fill-in issues of Punisher War Journal for Marvel comics. This is just a quickie job, then its right back to the hand-to-mouth existence I so love.

But its totally a foot in the door and I cream like a 16yr old girl let loose in the GAP with daddy’s credit card every time I think about it.

Did anyone else gag a little when I said “cream”? Because I did. (more…)

The Trials & Tribulations of Cupcake

Monday, November 5th, 2007

Its been a fun week up here in the Great White North. Halloween was a blast. The town of Wilton (where I live) had their annual Halloween Parade Wednesday afternoon. The entire downtown area is shut off and police cars and fire engines lead all the kids from the elementary school on a short parade from the school yard, down Main Street, and then back up to the school while us parents “ooh” and “ah” from the sidewalk. It sounds hoakie as hell, and it is, but its also super cute. (more…)

Halo 3 : The Halo of Lame

Monday, October 1st, 2007

The only thing that sucks about working until 3AM is getting up again at 7AM to take your kid to school. On a scientific note the experience has added a new technical term to my vocabulary: Vomit Tired. As in “I am so tired that I think I might deposit the content of my stomach onto my keyboard”.

I officially declare today, Monday October 1, 2007 to be a day of rest.

ConnectiCon

Sunday, July 15th, 2007

Oh my God, I can’t wait to NOT be going somewhere for a new and whacky weekend adventure. I haven’t had a weekend with my wife since before Wizard World Philly. That was back at the beginning of June for anyone not counting the days. (more…)

Rockabilly Weekend

Tuesday, July 10th, 2007

I just got back from another weekend in NYC. Considering the 5 hour drive, you’d think I wouldn’t be so keen on visiting as often as I do. I had a couple of reasons for going, but the main reason this time was to attend the wedding of a very old friend from Staten Island, Tom F. And when I say “old” I mean I was 5 and he was 4 ½ when we met. (more…)

Roadtrip!

Monday, May 21st, 2007

I love a good road trip. At least, I used to. There is something about the psyche of a twenty-something year old that gives them the ability to happily drive hours and hours to attend the smallest gathering, no matter how far away, or how inconsequential. (more…)
