I hope that at some point in the future bad reviews for Atomic Robo stop hurting so much. Granted you really have to consider the source, and some random bunch of dorks with a Blogger account aren’t exactly what you’d call impressive movers and shakers in the comic book industry. This Saturday is Free Comic Book Day. It’s an annual event where you can go to a comic book store and, in case there’s some confusion about the name, get some free comics. Most stores participate, but not all of them, so it’s best to check ahead of time. If your store is worth the space it occupies, they’ll have ordered Red 5’s FCBD offering with all new original Atomic Robo and Neozoic stories. (more…)
Note To Self: the next time you have the opportunity to do massive 3-day comic book conventions, on back-to-back weekends, with only 3 days at home in between them feeling like you just showed up to feed the cat, water the plants, and remind you kid “what daddy looks like”, don’t. I hate the day after a convention. No matter how hard I try to make the day after a good productive day, they always suck. First my virus protection flipped out and is refusing to update itself. Then Word would not open. then Photoshop. Several reboots later I am editing the blog when my host’s server shits the bed. I’m 3 1/2hrs into what should have been a half hour’s worth of work.

I was ready to suck up the increased airfare –because I understand that gas is not cheap and besides, airplane really fuck up the Stratosphere and make the air nasty. First of all, after only one year of operations, and just over six months since their first book hit shelves, Red5 Comics has its first movie deal in the works! Its just great to be working with such a company. Scott and Paul over at Red5 really know what makes a good comic book. I got a kick out of this slightly different report since is seems to imply something is in the works for our Bucket-Head. They must have sources that Brian and I don’t since no one had contacted us about doing anything other than comic books with Robo. But the internet is never wrong. . . right?

Or in the case of the Bendis Boards –packed with inane silliness that I’d like to comment on, but then my email will be bombarded by a bajillion other people replying as well, and it takes days to figure out if anyone is responding to something you might have posted.
