5 Minute Escape From My Relatives Christmas Post

Well, I seem to have survived the second annual Wegener Lamb & Ham Extravaganza, though my little brother appears to have developed the meat-sweats. I hope he’ll be okay.

Best gift of the day? A box of “crafty” paper from my mom made with -are you ready for this?- Elephant PooSeriously.

My little brother got a Play Station 3.

But I got dried shit that I can write on.

Welcome to my life.

Anyway, it came to me in a flash of horror that I neglected to post my favorite Christmas movie! Rare Exports & Rare Exports 2. I’ve done this every year since I started the blog and I can’t believe I forgot! Thanks, Tetsubo, for reminding me, (accidentally or not).

Also, be sure to check out 8-Bit Jesus.

Okay I need another Bloody Mary. Have a good one, kids!

P.S.: I guess John over at Wit War just recently discovered Atomic Robo. But that’s cool. I love it when new people find us. Judging by the other books he;s reading, John has some pretty solid tastes in comics. So everything he says about us is 100% true, :)

P.P.S.: Killer of Demons on HeavyInk. Subscribe to it. You can read an interview with Chris Yost here on Newsarama. No one asked me if I wanted to be interviewed. Not that I care. . . dicks. ;P

PS3s are overrated. With that kind of quality paper, the possibilites are endless!

Good thing Killer of Demons is finally on the way, it’ll plug the hole between Robo volumes.

Well with the poo paper, I guess it will mean what we’ve all known….that you’re artwork is the shit:)

I know that whenever I think ‘Scott Wegener’ I think ‘poo’.

The fact that it is elephant poo is interesting however.

Happy Holidays.

Scott,

It’s not that I just discovered Atomic Robo (I discovered it when I met you and Brian at ConnectiCon 2007, and picked up the first issue signed by the two of you at a very small convention near Penn Station ) just that copies of both the single issues and the collected edition were so darned tough to find! My LCS always sold out of them in minutes (though I now have a pull list) and Diamond is still sold out of copies of Vol. 1! Thank goodness for Amazon and the rest of the book market. I’ve got a good mind to write to Red 5 myself and tell them to go back to press on Vol. 1.

Is that Mr. Pilkington in your avatar?

John from WITWARDecember 29th, 2008 at 9:06 am

Why yes, it is. You’re the first person to recognize him, actually. But perhaps I’ve said too much…

I really like the new layout!

Christmas is a holiday for foooools. I went shopping at Green Acres mall and was trapped in the parking lot for several hours, no joke. You aren’t the only who got processed shit.

Hey John, welcome to the blog.

that would have been the Big Apple National where we met -god what a dump! LOL

I have officially busted out the poo-paper. It is even better than I thought it would be. I’ll have to draw something on it and take some pics for the blog.

Let me know if the poo paper is good to ink on. I may have to get some for a book i’m developing. It would be perfect!

Oh no, it’s totally “crafty” paper, (no, not “crappy” paper). It’s full of random fibers and bumps and it bleeds like a stuck . . . elephant?
