It’s Officially Summer
And as a result I’ve got nothing to show you. Emma is out of school, we spent a few wet and rainy hours at Goss Park, (because swim lessons are rain or shine), and I’ve been trudging through emails for a large part of the day.
I will post something about the Boston and New York trip later this week.
For now, just be amazed. Someone has finally done it;

Damn, I bet that hurt something fierce.

Dear lord…that is freaking amazing! Now we just need someone to tatoo your two page spread of the Sicily invasion scene from 2.1 on their back!

Scott, if you put together Atomic Robo fighting Hellboy, I’d put that on my body.

Throw in a fat wonder woman and I’m sold.
Congratulations on breaking into a whole new territory, mind-melting as it may be.

Now THAT is an Atomic Robo fan.

Summer vacation…great to be a kid, but hell on a parent, I imagine.
Since people are (clearly) gettin’ stoopider, kids should stay in school all year round.
Also, I got the 2 Robo pages, Scott. Thanks mucho. They look fantastic.

Wow.

I’m saving my skin for The Sparrow…

Brian and I ahve a secret little agreement about a certain Robo-themed tattoo. Not sure what would have to happen to inspire us to go through with it though.
I’ve already got one tattoo and I’m pretty sure that hurt like hell.

So, how long before I see a Chevy truck with a bootleg image of Atomic Robo peeing on a Ford logo?
June 25th, 2008 at 2:32 pm
Uhm, that actually looks AMAZING. The color is fantastic. This means that ROBO has arrived…
June 25th, 2008 at 7:58 pm
Hells yeah! That rocks!
June 28th, 2008 at 12:22 am
Hey Scott, I don’t think there is a copy of Atomic Robo left here in NYC. One shop I checked with said that four or five of their distributors are out of copies. Congratulations you guys! Robo has arrived! Bring on the Atomic Robo mini-bust now!
Do you guys still have any of the prints that you had with you at the Jim Hanley’s Universe signing last Friday? Kicking myself for not picking one up when I had the chance.
June 28th, 2008 at 8:31 am
MOnty -Jim Hanley’s *should* still have some. They bought a bunch from me and have 25 on back-order.
Though WHY Diamond can’t get the fucking books to the stores is beyond me. Red5 printed tons and I KNOW they still have them.
I’ve met my Diamond rep and he’s a nice guy. But he company fucking sucks. They have been the single biggest obstacle to getting out book into people’s hands. It’s so retarded that I can’t even type about it anymore.

Checked Jim Hanley’s today as well as Forbidden Planet. No dice. Midtown Comics has been out for two weeks as well, and Cosmic Comics (my usual shop), didn’t even know there was a TPB out.
Is there a way to order directly from Red5? I checked their website but didn’t see a store. I want to buy a bunch and give them to my friends. They’ve been hearing me go on and on about Atomic Robo and are beginning to look at me like I’ve got an imaginary friend. I don’t know what Diamond’s problem is. You would think in a city the size of NYC with so many great comic shops, someone would have this. At this point, I would be more than happy to bring the books to the shops in person to have them sell.

This link will take you to a page on the Red5 Comic’s site with links to several options for getting your hands on Atomic Robo.
I keep telling you guys’ that you need to read http://www.atomic-robo.com. That’s whre I found this link. =)

Thanks Scott. I’ve got a message in to Heavy Ink to confirm that they have it. All of the other sites listed do not. Many of them have Dogs of War up for pre-order, but no TPB’s. Really think you guys are getting dicked by Diamond.

Diamond sucks donkey balls. We all know that.
Try Amazon. They might not ahve it in stock, but they go through a different distributer.
