Yesterday marked the One Year Anniversary of Red5 Comics opening its doors to the public. With Atomic Robo ranking in the Top 300 list, a strong and growing following for Neozoic, and a lot of other great stuff going on, we are all really happy. Thanks red5 for seeing the potential in Atomic Robo!
Geeks of Doom laid a very awesome review on us that I think partially speaks to the reasons we are still here. It was especially nice to finally see someone give Jeff Powell credit for his outstanding lettering.
I updated the galleries the other day. Got rid of a good amount of old work and uploaded quite a bit of new stuff. Including the cover to Atomic Robo Vol.2 #1. Or Robo 2.1 if you prefer.

I also uploaded the entire FCBD 2008 story to the Sequential Gallery. But since Word Press uses a really SHITY system for organizing images they are scattered all over the place. Free Atomic Robo T-shirt for the first person to work out the proper page order though!
This one is a new favorite of my. I just did it for All-Star Comics, who is doing an art auction to raise money for the American Cancer Society. I always said I wanted to give something back to the ACS, and I’m glad that won’t involve giving them another testicle now. You can see some of the donated work HERE.
I like everything about the slight redesign on Robo, except the arms. In trying to keep his armor thick looking I’ve developed a giant swollen elbow where the upper and lower arm overlaps. That also seems to make me want to draw the upper arm with a curve resembling muscles. We’ll have to stop that now. I do like the smaller head and thinner legs a lot though –I think it helps add to the idea that he is a short, walking tank.

Robo #5 kicked ass! Can’t wait to see how this run ends. The new Robo pages in the Art section are very strong, especially the compositions. Killer illustration of the Punisher in the Inks section! When is Marvel gonna put you to work again?
Actually I don’t have much time for Marvel or anyone who is not Red5 Comics this year.
I won’t go into specifics, but we’ve worked a new deal with Red5, and part of that deal says that we will produce a minimum of 8 new comics a year.
