More Shows -Wah-Hoo!
Okay, staying up until 3AM playing Lost Planet –not a good idea. But honestly, when I sat down around 9:30PM I only intended to play for an hour, then go to bed. I swear. I guess that’s the mark of a really good game –I was totally sucked in. And this morning, I am totally sucking eggs.
I keep finding more and more awesome in this game. I was pretty sure I’d seen all the awesome. But each level -BAM!, more awesome. Does anyone remember Bionic Commando? I think it was a game on the original Nintendo. Maybe Sega. Well, in LP, just as in BC, you’ve got this super grapnel launcher mounted on your wrist, which you can use to get to high places -but you can also latch onto the big Bugs and Mechs, haul yourself in, and perch atop them while you empty a clip into the pilot’s compartment, or big buggy head. Awesome.
Pencils are done for ATOMIC ROBO #5, and I’m already getting things moving for KILLER OF DEMONS –looks like we may be moving to a larger publisher whose books are more in line with KOD. I’ll have more on that later –like after I sign a contract.
I’ll be appearing at DIGITAL OVERLOAD on March 9th, 10th, and 11th. Its really a big gamer-fest, but who knows –maybe some of you are gamers as well. We’re trying to get the ATOMIC ROBO sketchbook done in time for this and we should have some posters to sell, as well as the usual sketches and finished pages.
Then on March 18th I’ll be doing a new show –the BOSTON COMIC BOOK CONVENTION. They are so new there’s no website, but it will be held at the Back Bay Events Center. Not only will I have ROBO sketchbooks for that one, but I’ll also have my 2007 Sketchbook, full of stuff from . . .2006.
For you cats what can’t make these shows, the various sketchbooks will be available for sale here on the website. Details on how that will work shall be posted as soon as I have the books printed.

Nothing there except the flier right now, tho’. I may or may not go. The Double Midnight guys are having their Concord, NH, show the same day, so I’m not sure which I will be attending. And the guy I help out at the shows will be away on vacation that week, so I will just be a regular attendee…

Yeah, that’s just the flier.
I’m bummed this competes with the Double Midnight show, but I wasn’t sure I was doing that anyway. The Concord show seems to be mostly dealers and a really small crowd.
Plus it takes me longer to get to Concord than it does Boston.
I am definitely doing their May show though.
I love those guys.

Hey Scott, good to hear KOD is still in the works.
As for the new Boston show, if all goes well in NYC, I doubt I’m going to have much cash left in my comic show budget, but I do like to support the local shows so I’ll probably poke my head in to at least say hello.

It will be nice if I know one or two people there.
