Okay, staying up until 3AM playing Lost Planet –not a good idea. But honestly, when I sat down around 9:30PM I only intended to play for an hour, then go to bed. I swear. I guess that’s the mark of a really good game –I was totally sucked in. And this morning, I am totally sucking eggs.
I keep finding more and more awesome in this game. I was pretty sure I’d seen all the awesome. But each level -BAM!, more awesome. Does anyone remember Bionic Commando? I think it was a game on the original Nintendo. Maybe Sega. Well, in LP, just as in BC, you’ve got this super grapnel launcher mounted on your wrist, which you can use to get to high places -but you can also latch onto the big Bugs and Mechs, haul yourself in, and perch atop them while you empty a clip into the pilot’s compartment, or big buggy head. Awesome.
Pencils are done for ATOMIC ROBO #5, and I’m already getting things moving for KILLER OF DEMONS –looks like we may be moving to a larger publisher whose books are more in line with KOD. I’ll have more on that later –like after I sign a contract. (more…)
Just a quick one today. Got the at Primate’s Boston Comic Book & Toy Spectacular this Sunday. Hope to meet some new people, do some sketches and sell some pages.
ROBO #5 is coming along. Still can’t seem to hit a comfortable groove with it, but I’m wrapping up pencils on pg17, so its getting done. (more…)
Okay, this is going to be short and sweet, unlike my usual blogs. This is important, so I don’t want it to get lost in the usual ramble.
We are finally at liberty to announce ROBO’s publisher, Red 5 Comics.
Check out the official press release and bookmark their website.
Brian and I are very impressed with the other creative teams that Paul and Scott (the other Scott) have brought together, and there proven ability to make the internet work for them is very exciting -especially when you consider that Brian brings with him a huge web-audience from his work on 8-Bit Theater.
We hope that this is the begining of a beautiful friendship.
Boy what a week. Larry’s show was a lot of fun, and being only about 45 minuts from home, something I hope to do again. Saw quite a few familiar faces and a lot of new one’s too. Business was definitely good enough. Thanks everybody! I think Brian Mulcahy seems to be turning into my Daddy Warbucks –only Brian rocks a stylish beard like myself. Not only did he commission that Perhapanauts page from me a few weeks ago, but he picked up my Amazing Joy Buzzards pin-up and a sketch of the ‘Haps character that is based on his likeness. (more…)
I’ve been sick for over two weeks now. This utterly blows. I finally stopped praying for Death’s gentle embrace on Tuesday, but I’m still hacking and wheezing. The bus arrives to take me to the tuberculosis farm in a few hours, so I figured I ought to update the blog one last time. (more…)
Sometimes I hate technology. Actually, a lot of the time I hate it. I know, I know –technology is what allows me to work from home out in the sticks of New Hampshire. And before this, it allowed me to navigate effortlessly through the dark of night and all sorts of bad weather when I was a pilot.
But sometimes it just raises my stress-level through the roof! (more…)
